Hell’s Blood

GWP is proud to announced our most anticipated publication of 2009 Hell’s Blood by the wickedly-talented Hector Rodriguez. Hell’s Blood has been a labor of love for our Pal Hector. In 2008 he issued a Hell’s Blood ashcan, with the full-sized comic coming out in 2009, just in time to be featured at the NY ComicCon. We couldn’t be more excited for Hector, and his crew.

Who is Hell’s Blood?

His name is Burucu-Aja which means Evil Dog he serves the master of Hell himself, Satan. Most of my characters gain their powers from fire opals created by the orisha(deitie) Chango.

Burucu happens to have the only true dark opal created by his master who protects him from magic, fire and gives him the ability to control all demons and monsters within Earth’s realm. The opal also boils his blood and even allows him to spit pure magma but he needs blood from his victims to cool his own. Loyal not only to his master but also to those loyal to him, he often refers to all demons as his kin and treats them accordingly.

The Story thus Far:

Change is coming.

In an onslaught of events Hector has lost his grandmother and his life all in one night. Relentlessly pursued by horrific monsters seen only in nightmares and movies he finds himself fighting for his very life against an army of Hell-spawned creatures led by a magma spitting, fire haired werewolf who threatens to bring man’s darkest fear back to reality....Olosi (Satan) himself!

Now guided by a mysterious duo who claim he carries a powerful opal created before man’s existence and with everything around him changing, he struggles to survive as his own body takes on dramatic changes of its own. His small home town of Holyoke has become the battle field between heaven and hell as Hector becomes man’s last hope for salvation. Where the first leads, the rest will follow.

Psychosis! is an on-going 56-page, B&W, horror anthology. The main theme each issue involves a number of relevant looks at the fears that affect men and women in the 21st Century. Contributors to the title come from a number of different backgrounds and are a true mix of established talent along with enthusiastic younger talent cutting their teeth on powerful themes. Each issue features five eight-page stories, prose stories.
